Come and celebrate Black History Month at Meow Wolf for Adult Night!! Leave the kiddos home for this one!!
February may be the shortest month of the year, but be prepared to celebrate Black History Month today and everyday!!
Float Cafe, Meow Wolf’s bar and cafe area, will be transformed by incorporating the works of Shontez Morris and serving as her monthly showcase. Her masterpieces straddle the borders of racism, sensuality, sexuality, and spirituality. Encompassing feminine power and divinity, she is certain her pieces will bring a new life to Float Cafe for the evening.
LOVE encompasses a variety of strong and positive emotional and mental states, ranging from the most sublime virtue or good habit, the deepest interpersonal affection and to the simplest pleasure.
LIGHT: the natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible; understanding of a problem or mystery; enlightenment; illuminate; ignite.
AWAKENING: an act of waking from sleep; coming into existence or awareness.
These three components to a positive spiritual journey will be displayed by local artist Shontez Morris in her conscious art showcase. She draws inspiration from herself; learning how to love and believe in herself more deeply than ever before, being her own positive light and energy in a society that’s dominated by negativity as well as realizing her own potential and purpose.
Virginia Raised Artist Aron Kalaii, a renaissance man of our era, expresses depth of field and an angelic presence with his work.
