Huxley Anne also recently released her highly touted debut ‘Ilium’ on Dome of Doom with support from Maryanne Hobbs on the BBC, XLR8R, NTS Radio, The Wire Magazine, The Untz, Seventh Hex and more.

Wylie has released five albums on Dome of Doom since the labels inception and continues to create new music and tour, while managing all releases on Dome of Doom. This will be a special night of music not to be missed.
Alfred Darlington, better known as Daedelus, is an influential Los Angeles producer and cornerstone of the electronic & beat music scenes both locally and internationally. Over the last 15 years, he has released a number of full-lengths, EPs and remixes on labels like Ninja Tune, Anticon, and recently Brainfeeder, namely the collaborative Kneedelus release last year with the Jazz group Kneebody. Daedelus latest full-length, ‘Labyrinths’, was released on his own label, Magical Properties, in collaboration with Dome of Doom Records who rendered a limited edition cassette tape of the LP as well as a immediately sold-out ‘Baked Tape’ edition.
The album features guest appearances from Seven Davis Jr, Vōx, Amir Yaghmai, Zeroh, longtime collaborator Busdriver, and wife Laura Darlington. Guest musicians include Teebs, Goodnight Cody, and the Voidz drummer Alex Carapetis. Twisting, complex, and rhizomatic – Daedelus unfurls a maze of genre on Labyrinths, juxtaposing disparate influences while maintaining an underlying love and appreciation for all styles. The record serves as a response and critique of the current state of EDM, in which Daedelus attempts to answer his own questions with style rather than cynicism.
Huxley Anne’s Ilium & The Visceral Power of Emotional Transformation
The fragility and balancing act of creativity is an immeasurable factor in the life of any artist, serving as a commanding force in the choices they make over their careers. If the connection and meaning in creativity becomes devoid, there’s a transformation process that either channels an ascension or departure. An internal and external battle that can chase and haunt individuals in every part of their life if one falls into the latter position.
In the case of Los Angeles based electronic producer Huxley Anne, ascension was achieved during one of these tests of creative endurance and preservation, entering a phase of her life where the process of feeling art on meaningful levels had subsided for a lengthy period and the eventual reprisal of these natural gifts returned. This led to the creation of her debut album and an expansion in creativity that marks an important beginning for her path as an artist. This work is known as Ilium, representing a moment in Huxley Anne’s life that’s been one of her most testing yet rewarding mountains to climb. Ilium is Huxley Anne’s debut album with Los Angeles indie imprint and Alpha Pup Records affiliate, Dome of Doom. The album was released on limited edition cassette and digital platforms April 14, 2017.
